Once we decided we needed a break from spending money, Marissa and I trooped up to Griffith Observatory to check out some of the views this town has to offer. It was one of the things that our fast-talking and fabulous LA host recommended us to see, and boy was it nice.
We managed to see some of the more aesthetic parts of LA on the way up too, which was nice, and there were loads of trees and shade along the way so that suited me well.
Griffith Observatory is an amazing Art Deco building, and everywhere you looked there was a new and amazing design element to see. It was rather overwhelming actually, and just when you think you’ve seen it all, you go inside, and it like: “Really?!” …So overwhelming!
The Observatory was opened to the public in 1935 and remains the top tourist attraction in Los Angeles. It has a great 360 view of the city AND of the Hollywood sign. Score.
