AMPR Christmas Party

Well firstly, Merry Christmas!

While the rest of the family are cooking up a storm, I thought I’d take the time to upload some images from the AMPR Christms party that I styled with Flock Agency a couple of weeks ago.

Each year at Christmas time, AMPR close off the street outside their Cremorne office and throw a street party. This year was no different. Flock Agency and myself spent the very hot afternoon hanging lanterns, attaching bamboo screening to wire fences and setting up the locked down street to look like an Oriental paradise. With just a hour to go until party time, we were pretty happy with ourselves. Just enough time to frock up and put on some kind of face that could make us look one inch ready to stand next to the girls from the Fashion PR firm.

Then disaster struck.

The biggest gust of wind knocked down the bar holding the most amazing floral display by North Street Flowers , and then another one was knocked over…I’ve never seen so many PR girls flock to the rescue. We had an hour to work out a contigency, when there was no contingency.

Into the office we took all the design elements. Cleared the computers off the floor, nutted out a new floor plan, and I had to track down lighting for the office that would a) work with the space and b) get there and set up in the next 40 mins. But, look, we pulled it off, and all in enough time to quickly apply that face and stand next to those PR girls.

Not to bad an effort I think.

Ellie the elephant had far too much fun at the party - She got too loose and had people riding her all night. One of those people was far too rough and toppled her over...
