At the End of November, I linked arms with Marisssa Wood and Flock Agency to create a Great Gatsby Wedding for love birds, Gavin Ashcroft and Ben Dinning. We were the styling arm arm of the wedding, and together with caterers, Rue Cler Market and florist, Georgie Stanton we turned the Geelong Club into a 1920s garden getaway.
In my opinion, the bathroom was the best part of the place. We had some amazing floral displays, show shining, cologne and even a bar in the bathroom! Despite the fact that it was unisex, it seemed the guests spent more time in there than anywhere else, but I guess that what you get for putting a bar in the bathroom. Such a great idea!
It was a really long day putting together the Great Gatsby Garden Wedding. Leaving the house at 4.15am to drive upto Geelong, bumping it all in, heavy labour in 35 degree temperatures, then overlooking the event as it ran, we didn’t finish up until 1.30am. Marissa and I left the wedding guests who kicked on until 4.30am, before getting kicked out of the venue then stumbled over to the beach to kick on. Got to make the most of free champagne!
